Open-access scientific publications
- PeriScops – A web portal offering centralized access to scientific publications from the institutional repositories of the five universities in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, coordinated and funded by the FNRS and developed by ULiège Library.
- OpenAire – A European platform that brings together millions of open access scientific publications and data.
- BASE – An academic search engine from Bielefeld University that indexes documents from scientific publication repositories.
- CORE – A global aggregator that collects open access articles from thousands of institutional repositories.
- OpenAlex – A database of scientific publications (users can filter results to show only those available via open access).
- HAL – A French open archive where researchers and institutions deposit their scientific publications.
- PubMed Central – An open archive providing free access to the full text of millions of articles in medicine, biomedical sciences, and life sciences.
- Isidore – French platform providing access to open access resources in the humanities and social sciences.
Open-access journals and books
- DOAJ – This directory of open-access journals also allows you to search for articles published in certain journals listed in the directory.
- DOAB – Directory of open access scientific books.
Research data and outputs
- Zenodo – A free repository developed by CERN that allows users to deposit and share various scientific research outputs (publications, datasets, educational resources).
- Harvard Dataverse – A platform for depositing and sharing research datasets maintained by Harvard.
- Recherche Data Gouv – A French directory for sharing research data.
- Figshare – A platform containing open access data, documents, figures, and other research materials
- Open Science Framework – A platform for managing and sharing research projects. It includes research projects, datasets, preprints, protocols, pre-registrations, and other documents produced as part of research (excluding publications).
Open educational resources
- OER Commons – A global library of open educational resources.
- Mason OER Metafinder (MOM) – A federated search tool for finding open educational resources.
Software, code and research projects
- GitHub – A collaborative development platform that allows users to version, share, and make code, data, or scientific projects openly accessible.
